While everyone is having quarantine babies, I am just having quarantinis.

As we have exceeded the 100 day mark on the quarantine and COVID-19 pandemic, I can’t help but to notice how many of my friends are having babies or announcing pregnancies. Every other post on my feeds is about births, drive-by baby showers, newborns, or pregnancy announcements. Meanwhile, I am just spending time in #virginiaskitchen creating (and repeatedly testing) quarantini recipes. Some people have the purpose to share their genes with the world, but I just want to share my recipes.
I can’t think of a better first blog post than to share my Amaretto Quarantini. It is super sweet, strong, and obviously pink. How could you not love it?
It was inspired by a cocktail I have gotten in the past from a local restaurant in the Triangle, The Angus Barn. While I haven’t gone out to eat in over 100 days at this point, I have learned to make cocktails just as delicious as some of my favorite restaurants, and the Amaretto Quarantini is one of them.
With only a few ingredients, this drink is easy to make and a great addition to happy hour.
Enjoy!
